When I first mounted my fork bag, it was above the fender but too close. I actually rubbed the paint off the fender through compression of the forks when braking. I ended up covering my paint repair job with a decal because I never got a real good color match. I raised the height of the bag, no more rubbing but some blockage of the headlamp beam at the bottom. Currently, it's off the bike because I was never satisfied with the location or the look and I have small saddle bags to carry supplemntal tools, in addition to other stuff. Other's opinions on fork bags and their locations would be appreciated.
